Stallions are generally seen as the most expressive of all equines. Their muscular physique conveys strength and vitality, their need to impress is fascinating to watch.
But what about the female side of things? During my work out in the field, I become increasingly aware to the fact that mares have their very own, wonderful, subtle beauty.
Whether as a maiden, an expectant mother or having given birth to new life, their expression is one of pride, strength and love. This series pays tribute to that.
